Jonathan Simard was responsible for assembling a group of Truthers in the Accord I chronicle. Although he set out with noble intentions, the sway of the Danse Macabre proved too powerful, and through the powers of dominate he swayed the actions of the Accord cell to undermine his political rivals and seek to regain the praxis of New Orleans.

Prince of New Orleans[]

Jonathan Simard ruled as the Prince of New Orleans from approximately 1870 until 1972, at which point his blood potency became too great and he was forced to retire into torpor, sleeping for nearly thirty years before reawakening in 2002, when he began to plot his re-ascension to praxis.

The Truth[]

Jonathan knew and fought the Truth during his initial reign as Prince, but upon awakening from torpor found that all of his past associates were deceased. He assembled a new cell made up of New Orleans' powerful and outcasts, and using the powers of dominate prevented them from knowing of his vampiric nature.

Events of Accord I[]

Throughout the events of the Accord I chronicle, Jonathan acted as a support structure for the new cell of Truthers, providing them refuge at his sprawling, aged estate in the swamps of Louisiana, as well as providing leads from his information network to aid in the fight. Gradually, these leads became less and less relevant to the fight against the Truth and more and more relevant to progressing Jonathan's political interests, such as the murder of the Nosferatu Primogen.

Death[]

Ultimately Jonathan's motives became too far removed from the goals of the cell he had created, and his cellar was stormed, his retainer, a mutant named Swampy Sal, was slain, and in a battle that near cost the life of Sar, Jonathan Simard met with Final Death.
